Basic Knowledge in Use of Common Drugs Training Course

 

Course Objectives:

To enhance the drug usage knowledge of healthcare practitioners to uplift their quality of care and nursing skills.

 

Course Content:

  • To understand the basic principle of drug mechanism
  • To understand the basic knowledge of metabolism and administration of drugs
  • To understand the proper procedures of administering drugs
  • To introduce the common medical treatments and nursing care of endocrine, circulatory and respiratory diseases
  • To understand the doctors’ prescriptions
  • To understand the common pharmacological terms

 

Entry Requirements:

Healthcare practitioners or general public who are interested in enhancing knowledges on Drug Usage   

 

Course Fee:

$600

 

Course Duration:

9 hours (3 training sessions)

 

Medium of Instruction:

Chinese (supplemented with English)

 

Trainer:

Registered Nurse

 

Course Assessment:

Certificate would be awarded upon fulfilment of following graduation requirements:

  • Attain a minimum of 80% attendance rate; and
  • Attain passing marks (50% or above) in written examination

 

Remarks:

The Department may refuse to admit an applicant at its discretion.
