Physiotherapy Assistant Training Course
Course Objectives:

To enable trainees to master relevant knowledge and skills of a Physiotherapy Assistant so to assist physiotherapists to conduct rehabilitative service.

To assist trainees to establish confidence and enhance employability in joining the workforce of Physiotherapy Assistant.
Course Content:

Introduction of physiotherapy and basic skills in performing physiotherapy

Physiotherapy equipment and its operation and maintenance
· Common diseases and injuries that are indicated for physiotherapy and their commonly used methods and modalities
· Basic healthcare knowledge
Entry Requirements:

Hong Kong Resident

Completion of Secondary Form 3 or above with literacy in Chinese reading and writing

Fluent Cantonese and able to understand simple English

Interest in applying for the work of Physiotherapy Assistant
Course Fee:
$2,500
Course Duration:
18 hours (6 training sessions)
Medium of Instruction:
Chinese (supplemented with English)
Trainer:
Registered Physiotherapists and/or Registered Nurse
Course Assessment:
Certificate would be awarded upon fulfilment of following graduation requirements:

Attain a minimum of 80% attendance rate; and

Attain passing marks (50% or above) in both written examination and practical skill assessment
Remarks:
The Department may refuse to admit an applicant at its discretion.
