Common English in Nursing Training Course

 

Course Objectives:

The course is designed for the frontline healthcare providers and those required to learn Nursing terms in English, in order to enhance their nursing skills and quality of care.

 

Course Content:

  • Common medical terms in the hospitals and elderly homes
  • Common medical equipment in the hospitals and elderly homes
  • The organization chart and job titles of health care providers in the hospitals and elderly homes
  • Basic terms in Human Anatomy and Systemic Diseases
  • Medical terminology of nursing assessment
  • The principle of building medical terms

 

Entry Requirements:

  • Healthcare practitioners or general public who are interested in enhancing knowledges on Nursing English   
  • Applicants must be able to understand simple English

 

Course Fee:

$800

 

Course Duration:

15 hours (5 training sessions)

 

Medium of Instruction:

Chinese (supplemented with English)

 

Trainer:

Registered Nurse

 

Course Assessment:

Attendance certificate would be awarded if trainees can attain a minimum attendance rate of 80%

The Department may refuse to admit an applicant at its discretion.
