Youth First Aid Certificate Course (YFA)
Course Objectives:
This course aims at instilling the basic first aid knowledge to the youth in an interesting way, which enables them to learn and perform simple first aid treatment during emergency.

Course Duration: 12 hours, 3 hours per session (extra 3 hours for examination)
Class Size: 16 to 30 candidates per class
Entry Requirement: Aged 11 to 16
Medium of Instruction: Cantonese
Instructor: First Aid Lecturer or Youth First Aid Instructor of Hong Kong Red Cross

Examination Contents:
1. Written examination |
- 30 Multiple Choice Questions & 20 True or False Questions (complete within 30 minutes, passing score is 25 correct answers)

2. Practical examination |
- Bleeding Management (complete within 6 minutes)
- Fracture Management (complete within 6 minutes)

Standard First Aid Certificate Course Bandage Pack
(Three dressing gauze, one 5 cm (2 inches) and one 7.5 cm (3 inches) roller bandage and four triangular bandages, and one pair of disposable gloves)

Certificate:
Students should fulfill the following criteria in order to get the Youth First Aid Certificate with 3 years validity.

At least 75% attendance (counted by session)

Pass in both written and practical examinations
Re-examination:

Candidates with 1 part failed in the examination can apply for re-examination (REY) once. A fee of HK$50 will be charged. All re-examination should be taken within 6 months from the date of first examination.

Candidates with 2 or all parts failed are required to retake the whole first aid course. (Full fee will be charged)

We could provide training at client’s premises; clients can also rent our premises for training. Please contact our staff for details.
